Michael Jackson has died at the age of 50 after suffering a heart attack. The once famed singer collapsed at his rented home in the exclusive neighborhood of Holmby Hills, California. His death has come as a shock to the entire world, which has spawned a slew of statements from celebrities and fans alike.

Michael Jackson’ s life has been that of a circus at times. From his continuous and obvious plastic surgeries to accusations of child abuse which came from different sources to his carnival like home which came equipped with rides and zoo.

Michael Jackson was planning a comeback tour in London England. He was signed for 50 shows at the O2 Arena and most were already sold out.

Statements:

Madonna: “I can’t stop crying over the sad news. The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever!”

Britney Spears: “I was so excited to see his show in London. We were going to be on tour in Europe at the same time and I was going to fly in to see him. He has been an inspiration throughout my entire life and I’m devastated he’s gone!”

Lisa Marie Presley: “I am so very sad and confused with every emotion possible. I am heartbroken for his children, who I know were everything to him, and for his family.

Martin Scorsese: “Michael Jackson was extraordinary. When we worked together on Bad, I was in awe of his absolute mastery of movement on the one hand, and of the music on the other,” he said.

“Every step he took was absolutely precise and fluid at the same time. It was like watching quicksilver in motion.

“He was wonderful to work with, an absolute professional at all times, and - it really goes without saying - a true artist. It will be a while before I can get used to the idea that he’s no longer with us.”

John Landis/ Directed Thriller video: “I was lucky enough to know and work with Michael Jackson in his prime,” Landis said, in a statement via his attorney. “He had a troubled and complicated life and despite his gifts, remains a tragic figure. My wife Deborah and I will always have great affection for him.”

John Scher/ Concert promoter: “He was really part of the fabric of modern American pop. And we all saw him grow up in front of our eyes: It’s rare that you see a child actor or, in this case, a child performer, grow up and then take the enormous leap he took, when he went solo.”

Quincy Jones: “I am absolutely devastated at this tragic and unexpected news”

Mr. Jackson “had it all — talent, grace, professionalism and dedication.” Mr. Jones said added, “I’ve lost my little brother today, and part of my soul has gone with him.”
