classical_guitarThere are a lot of people who want learn how to play the guitar, but either don´t have the time to go to a guitar lesson, or simply can´t afford to pay for the lessons, and because of these obstacles, simply give up and don´t follow through with their dream of learning how to play. This dilemma should not stop you however, because today, you have free guitar lessons online which can teach the beginner to the intermediate guitar player.  All you have to do, is devote some online time to learn.

Free guitar lessons online have enabled people who would otherwise give up on learning the guitar, become good players who in turn pass on what they´ve learned to others who want to learn how to play the much loved instrument.

Some of you might want to learn how to play rock music, and others might prefer the more mellow classical. The type of guitar you want to play doesn´t really matter because free guitar lessons online address all these types of music styles.

You might have a difficult time if you are left handed, but so was Jimmy Hendrix, and most of the older folks know how well he played the guitar. Being left handed shoudn´t stop you from picking up the instrument. Most left handed people learn how to play right handed… If you aren´t one of these people who can adapt to playing with the wrong hand, try switching the chords on your guitar. Just don´t try this method on a five string banjo, because it won´t work. Tones on the five string banjo change and reversing the strings is unfortunately not an option.

So, if that guitar is sitting up against the corner of your wall and continues to stare at you, why not log on and begin learning how to play with free guitar lessons. There  is no excuse anymore. It is simply up to you.

I personally don´t play the guitar, but did play the clarinet while in school, and can honestly say that it is a very satisfying feeling to pick up a musical instrument and make music, instead of just noise.

here´s an URL to free guitar lessons to get you started, but remember, there are many more sites out there.

Music Videos

MTV was an automatic hit with the younger population, since it´s inception in 1981 with the ironically appropriate music video, ´Video Killed The Radio Star´, by the Buggles, and to this day continues to broadcast music videos all over the world. MTV began in the United States of America, but it wasn´t long before it expanded to Canada and Europe. There´s something about music videos and their ability to bring a picture to the lyrics that is just irresistible with the young music hungry generation.

With MTV´s popularity and today´s fast paced technology, comes an opportunity for you to create your very own MTV, free of charge and without the computer knowledge of an internet geek. All you need is a downloader and editing software provided free of charge on the internet. Don´t worry, these programs are very straight forward and simple to use.

The availability of music downloads over the internet quickly changed our music libraries over the last few years.. something that music labels weren´t and aren´t very happy with.  Those music video fans out there could also enjoy the same standard of music video libraries by creating their own, and not settling for what is broadcast to them. There aren´t many  reasons why people should settle for whatever music videos the networks want to give us, that of course includes the much loved MTV.

If you aren´t happy with the videos supplied to you by the big boys, make your own library. While you and others continue to do this, it will almost undoubtedly force television music programing to supply a more vast and ultimately more entertaining music video experience to you. After all, without the viewer, MTV could never exist.

note:  if you aren´t sure about copyrights, I would recommend that you obtain permission from the video´s owner before using that video in your music video library.

Radio Music

Remember the days of listening to radio music while carrying the `ghetto blaster´on your shoulders? Or maybe you´re simply too young to ghetto-blasterremember those kinds of radio music days.

Radio music has been around for quite awhile, but the quality of sound has not always been what we would like it to be, not to mention that the radio stations continually pounded us with the same tunes on an hourly basis. The good news is that you no longer have to listen to what commercial radio stations give you, you now have a choice of listening to what genre of music you prefer, without the recycling we get from conventional radio music.

Since the introduction of internet, radio music has taken a pleasant turn for the better. You can now listen to the genre of radio music in digital quality. Conventional radio music sends out radio waves from transmitters, affecting the quality of sound. The further away from those transmitters, the lousier the quality of your radio music is.. A good example of this is driving under a bridge while listening to the radio.. almost always you will lose partial or complete signal.

More and more people are once again tuning into the radio because of internet radio music sound quality, and the power to choose what genre of music you want to listen too, at what time you want to listen.

Shoutcast is one of the more popular internet radio sites which gives you access to about 8000 radio stations from around the globe. It´s no wonder why internet radio has become as popular as it has.

You might want to listen to the same quality while on your drive to work however, and looking at your laptop´s screen might not be the best or healthiest option while driving… that´s where satellite radio music comes into play. Over the past several years, the market of portable satellite radio music players has skyrocketed. Like the internet radio music stations which are selectable to genre´s, so are the satellite radio music players. This radio music however, comes without the nagging commercials, and is beamed down from outer space. The sound quality is phenomenal.

Two of the more popular satellite radio players are SIRIUS and XM RADIO, but there are others to keep the competition for better players at cheaper prices.

Now that you know about radio music, you also know that you no longer have to settle for lost signals under the bridge.
