Free Music

I love music! Music is like a good book, it will take you places that you have never been before and it will keep you coming back for more. If you are anything like me, you spend hours upon hours with the music playing. I take it everywhere and listen with every chance I get. Yes, I am a music junkie. Always have been, always will be.
There have been a lot of talk in recent years regarding free music on the web. Most of you have probably downloaded a song or two from media sharing, or torrent sites. The problem with these websites is that you don’t have the rights to that music, and therefore are taking a chance that you will be caught and ultimately punished, usually with legal action from the record companies which you have stolen the music from.
The good news is that you can listen to free music on the web anytime you like. My personal favorites are sites like Imeem.com and shoutcast.com.
With imeem.com, you can access pretty much any music that you want, and it is completely legal, and best of all, free. You don’t have to worry about the internet police knocking on your door and taking you away.

I love shoutcast.com. This internet radio website has any and all music genres to choose from, including indie music stations to take you away from the highly marketed mainstream music scene and show you an array of great musical talent that is out there.

If you want to download the music and you want to do it through legal channels, there are websites out there that will allow you to download music for a small fee. If you are a music lover who wants to build up your library, but want to do it legally, the Itunes music store website may be the thing for you. You can find almost any music single or whole albums to download on the website. Prices for single songs usually range from 69 cents to $1.29, with entire albums usually going for $9.99. Itunes is not the only website to provide this service, so my advice to you is to do a search on google.
